Concrete Solutions

SENBO takes much pride in becoming a privileged partner for building the various national infrastructure projects of the Country. The path of progress of the Company, bedecked with the laurels of success of Calcutta Metro, was further glorified as the organisation was awarded with various prestigious projects of the country. Needless to say SENBO being quite young in age but matured enough in experience boldly came forward and accepted the challenge of building the said infrastructural projects of the country. Obviously the said projects were completed very successfully. Some of these projects are narrated in short herein under:-

A strong Foundation

A major bridge contract followed after the Metro Project. The work involved well sinking in rocky terrain and across the turbulent river Jeera in Orissa State, under the Department of Rural works, Govt. of Orissa. A peculiar feature of this work was sudden floods in the river from backwash following release of water from Hirakud Dam for which special precautions had to be adopted.

The framework of success

This was followed by heavy construction work for the government owned power giant, National Thermal Power Corporation. The place was a remote area in Vindhyachal, Sidhi District, Madhya Pradesh state. The work involved laying heavy foundations for turbo-generators, tall chimneys and related structural work. The time frame with stiff deadlines threatened cost-push ups. Inspite of all the odds SENBO managed to complete the project on time.

Highway to excellence

A recent achievement of SENBO was in Madhubani district in North Bihar near the Indo-Nepal border, for the prestigious Kosi River Valley Project of Bihar Site. The project required the construction of two hydralic structures, that is, siphons, to carry the main right bank canal across two major rivers, Kamala and Dhori in Madhubani district near the Indo-Nepal border. The total length including approach roads will be 1.20 kms. The project is worth Rs. 600 million and Rs. 15 million, (US $ 14 million and 3.50 million) respectively. It is a round the clock project involving very heavy excavation, dewatering and concreting.
